Immunization Requirements

All children entering the school must meet the immunization requirements set by the State of Pennsylvania. Completed immunizations are mandatory to attend school at any grade level.

The current immunizations must be completed before entering school or students may be at risk for exclusion.

  • Polio- 4 doses of polio vaccine with 4th dose on or after 4th birthday

Exemptions to the school laws for immunizations are:

  • Medical reasons
  • Religious beliefs

If your child is exempt from immunizations, he or she may be removed from school during an outbreak.

Immunizations will need to be completed within five school days from the start of school. Immunizations will be reviewed by your child’s certified school nurse. Any questions will be directed to the parent/ guardian. If immunizations are not complete, the student will be excluded from attending school until immunizations are completed OR a medical certificate is provided by a healthcare provider indicating when the immunization(s) are scheduled to be completed.
